Throughout the years, Allah has blessed WCMAS to consistently implement and maintain many activities that served to improve the quality of life for Muslim women and their families, alhamdulilllah. Listed below are some of our on-going programs and activities.
The Annual Women’s Conference – A weekend-long gathering of Muslim women from over 20 states and abroad. 2017 will mark our 34th year, in-shaAllah.
The Halimah Mujahid Scholarship – A scholarship targeted at Muslim students who have graduated from Islamic full time schools or home schools in Maryland. Since its inception in 1986, WCMAS has awarded over $50K in scholarship, alhamdulillah.
Sadaqa/Janaazah Assistance – Help on a “as needed, as available” basis to Muslims in need.
New Shahadah Packages – Complimentary gifts to recently reverted Muslims who attend Islamic Studies classes regularly. Sisters classes are held Sundays from 10 am to 12 pm at Masjid As-Saffat, Inc.
Girls’ Day Out – An annual day of spiritual, educational, and recreational activities for girls ages 3 – 11.
‘Eid Bowl & Skate – An annual recreational activity for Muslim families During Eid Al Adha.
Educational Seminars – Free educational workshops for women (on topics of Aqeedah, Tahaarah, Seerah, and Fiqh) held twice a year. Past seminar topics include Etiquettes of Salatul Jumuah, Lailatul Qadr & the Taraweeh Prayer, and What can YOU bring to the table.
